Lorsque le groupe abandonne la pop psyché pour le boogie rock mâtiné de blues au début des années 70 ça donne ça :

Début d'une longue lignée de tubes en 1972 avec "Paper plane".

Status Quo possède le record absolu de singles classés dans les hit parades anglais : plus de 60 dont 22 dans le top 10 .



L'un de mes préférés : Marguerita time de 1983.

Status Quo meilleur que jamais ?

Leur dernier album, "Quid Pro Quo" publié en mai 2011, est entré directement dans le top 10 british !!!

Je reposte aussi cette vidéo parce que je la trouve juste extraordinaire.

J'adore les comédies musicales (et je ne suis pas gay) et en particulier les oeuvres du grand Andrew Lloyd Webber (je n'ai rien contre les gays je précise) et j'ai décidé de créer une nouvelle anthologie sur 7 CDs (ni malade mental) représentant le meilleur des oeuvres d'Andrew Lloyd Webber (et je vous répète que je ne suis pas gay) avec une présentation détaillée (ni même bi, hétéro je vous dis, je suis hétéro) et j'espère que ça vous donnera envie de découvrir (ni même métrosexuel, chu hé-té-ro) ou de redécouvrir ces fabuleuses mélodies (zut à la fin chu pas gay et pis c'est tout.)

Premier volume : THE POWER & THE GLORY (1963-1975)

Courte bio : Andrew Lloyd Webber naît à Londres en mars 1948.
Passionné par la musique et les comédies musicales, il apprend à jouer du piano et se met à composer dès l'âge de neuf ans.

L'une de ses plus vieille compositions deviendra "Chanson d'enfance" pour "Aspects Of Love".

En 1963, premier 45 tours signé du jeune Andrew (15 ans).

En 1965, il rencontre son alter ego, l'auteur Tim Rice et ensemble composent leur première oeuvre "The Likes Of Us" qui sera abandonnée deux ans plus tard, et jouée pour la première fois en 2005, pour le 40e anniversaire de leur rencontre.
